There was a brief clip of Fred Harris (complete with beard) from Me And My Micro shown last night on BBC4's TV's Believe It Or Not.

If you missed it, it's available on BBC iPlayer and will also be repeated on BBC4 this Friday night.

As an aside: despite the fact that Sean Lock wishes he was Victor Lewis-Smith, the show in its entirety is worth a watch for some genuine toe-curling televisual moments, and most of the clips *aren't* the ones that are repeated ad nauseum!

Sadly I can't watch it as I've yet to research how to spoof my IP address so that I can watch iPlayer content from America... but this post reminds me that three thousand miles away, across the Atlantic, in a box behind the TV at my parents' house, there is an absolute wealth of schools programmes on crumbling VHSes from the 80s. Things like Junior Maths and so on (these were the things I watched when I was five instead of more normal children's TV, but I still nearly turned out all right).

I should really work out a way to digitize them, as I'm sure a lot of people would like to see them again. Distance and/or teaching my parents to transfer from video to the computer are the obstacles, though.
